Feedback from our match against Chelsea

CAFC vs Chelsea pyrotechnics

We have had several people reach out to our committee at Saturday's game regarding some issue, especially involving the North East Quadrant. The below are issues we will be raising with CAFC this week:

  • Lifts not working pre-game in the NEQ resulting in fans being moved for the first 20 minutes of the game to a location where they were unable to see the match due of able bodied fans standing

  • Chelsea fans were blocked in the road by police after the game, with no communication. Whilst the majority were ok in this situation, this included some disabled fans (including a wheelchair user). We all know large queues with people pushing forwards is not pleasant, especially for disabled and wheelchair users. This is a safety issue for their fans that we will be discussing so that future situations can been better organised.

  • The facilities and toilets not being in a suitable and clean state

We are aware that the match was a one-off regarding crowds and the majority of wheelchair spaces were taken, however all feedback is useful for future matches.

If you have anything you wish to feedback for the Club please comment on our forum under accessibility issues > home.
